Stuart and I were lucky enough to be able to take a trip out to New York last week and it was AMAZING!!! We had a blast while we were there and did so many things it was unbelievable! It was a once in a lifetime experience and we're glad we did it! I took a ton of photos while we were there so I've decided to break it up into multiple posts organized by day... Here we have day 1... enjoy!
We flew into Newark at about 7:30am and this was the view of the sun coming up over the city!
This trip was full of firsts for me, one of those was my first time on a real train!
We came up from underground and this was the first city building we saw... it was so tall (this photo doesn't do it justice)
As we were walking I saw this sign on the sidewalk and thought it was hilarious!
We got to Evan's dropped our stuff and were off to see the city... and meet Tamara! She's Awesome and we love her and couldn't be happier for the 2 of them!
We went to central park and walked around for a bit.
There were beautiful Fall leaves there for us to see! Loved it!
After central park we headed over to the Top of the Rock.

This is just a crazy looking Church that had such cool light reflecting onto it from its surroundings!
We checked out FAO Schwartz and played the BIG piano.

It was such a beautiful day! We had perfect weather that first day that we were even able to wear shorts and a t-shirt! We were so beat from our LONG day of traveling. We went home and I ended up taking a 6 hour nap! I woke up at 11 pm wondering where Stuart and Evan had gone but they showed up literally 3 minutes later after going to sing karaoke with friends and watch some of the angels game... talk about perfect timing! Ahhh what a perfect day in the city!

Loved the pic of the sunset malia. You just make any picture look amazing. I think I will hire you to teach me the ways of the camera. ha Im glad you guys had a good trip and break from the island. I miss you guys tons. Your next trip needs to be INDO!!!!
I've missed you and your blog with pictures. This is great! I saw some of those same things about 39 years ago. I entered NYC on a train too. from Boston. It was stinky. Can't wait for the next post.
