I've upgraded!

*WARNING: Please don't judge me because of these awful photos... terrible backgrounds I know, but I just wanted to share this with you and these photos will not be used for anything else. I also have other photos I need to be working on didnt want to waste my time on these. Thank You.

This is what I was using to carry around my camera until today!

And this is what I got in the mail today!!!

I know what your thinking... the old bag is way cooler and much more fashionable, but looks aren't everything. And remember what your mom told you growing up: Its not what's outside, but whats on the inside that counts!

Here are the 2 compartments that were in the "cool" camera bag:

(The main compartment and that tiny little zipper... good for a skinny phone and some chapstick and thats about it)

And this is the inside of the new, more practical, more protective, more sensible, more comfortable, more room, mo betta bag!!!

There's room for all my lenses, the camera, any random chords I would need, filters, extra batteries (which I don't have), extra memory cards (which I also don't have), I can throw in my wallet, phone, sunglasses, keys, probably even a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! And it also has this cool little all weather cover built in that I can use if its starts to rain... and anyone who's been here knows that it can be sunny and clear and the very next second without warning there will be water droplets falling from the heavens! Oh how I love Hawaii! And my new little camera bag!

Here's the comparison picture:

HI everybody, Stuart here. In response to all the jazz lovers here in La'ie and abroad I just want to say...
GOOOOOOO LAKERS!!!!!!!!
MVP... ...nice Kobe.
I don't really like this goof ball because of all blatant hurt he dished out toward the Lakers but he gets a place on our blog because all the pain he conjors in the hearts of Utah fans...way to go Karl... becasue of that your ok by me...
Bring another one home boys...

They Did It!!!

Last night we had the OIA Championship Game! It was Kahuku vs. Roosevelt and Kahuku came out on top! Now its on to States at the end of this week. The girls did an amazing job and all of their hard work in practice was showcased in last nights game. The final score was 10-4.

In their celebration this is what happened:

I hope Makana's phone that she had in her pocket at the time is all right...

I guess the girls wanted to make sure they would get a nice
long and hard swim set in Monday's practice!

Great Job Girls!!!

The Votes Are In!

But like I said.... I am pretty much set in my own opinion.

A won by 2 votes, however, we're gonna shoot tomorrow at secret location B... ok ok it may not be a secret location and if your from around here you know where it is. Anyways... the picture from Location B that I posted was only one shot, and I purposely didn't post one that shows all it has to offer because I didn't want to ruin the surprise. and you know I'll be posting some of the pictures from tomorrow on here.

Thank You very much for all of your comments... if you're feeling jipt (sorry don't know how to spell that word but you get the point) just remember that I warned you that I was already set. But I really do love that there were so many comments! I hope that this doesn't turn you away!

oh and P.S... another reason we're not shooting at pounders is because there are more variables that we would have to deal with... the wind, the waves, and the people. Secret location B is more protected from the elements.

I need YOUR opinion!

Yes I'm talking to you! And yes... that means you have to leave a comment =)

I am going to be taking team pictures for the girls in a few days so today I went around scoping out a good spot. There's always the pool but how boring can you get especially if you live in such a beautiful place!

Here are a few shots. I need to know what you think. I already have my own opinion and am pretty much set in it but just want to make sure you all agree...

So if you would be so kind as to leave a comment with your vote as soon as possible (as in right now) it would be much appreciated!

MAHALO!!!

Good Luck Kahuku Girls Water Polo!

I know its been a while, I apologize to those of you who have been checking with nothing to see! Its been kinda busy around here.

Tonight we had our first game of OIA's. It's basically the league tournament for the public school system here in Hawaii. We have a game tomorrow and then the Championship Game is on Saturday evening. After OIA's we'll have States which includes the best teams from both the OIA and the ILH (ILH is the private schools). Water polo is a pretty young sport in hawaii especially for the public schools so there isn't much competition in our league... The Kahuku Girls have been undefeated in the OIA in the last 3 years since it started. They had water polo before but it was more of a club thing. We pretty much dominate in all of our games and thats playing all of our girls and holding them back from their full potential just so the other team doesn't get beat by too much.... even then we still run up the score quite a bit, its hard not too. We are looking forward to States because there will be much better competition and and the girls will get a chance to prove themselves playing against girls that are more their level. We've been working all season for states, from the very first day of practice the team came set their goals together and the top one was to win states! The past 3 years they've gone to states but it has always been taken by the private schools (Punahou, Iolani, and Kamehameha).

This is their year! They've been through a lot with the accident and everything that came with that, but they proved to be strong and determined! I have been super impressed by these girls and have had fun working with them! I'll try and update you on everything!

Just some pictures I took at practice and a scrimmage...
